Welcome to the new home of the
Red Flags In Fandom project.
This is a project that began around early 2023 and was developed by expanding on terrible convention and fandom experiences into a concept hopefully alerting people to avoid getting involved in problems by bringing awareness to issues.
I've drawn upon over 30 years of personal experience from conventions and fandom events. Those decades have brought endless amounts of joy, fond memories, and treasured friendships. Unfortunately along the way we've seen some incidents transpire that a reasonable person would want to avoid... and we've also seen repeating patterns. The focus of this venture isn't to name particular people or organizations - the focus is more importantly on the scenarios and the acts preceding them.
Red Flags In Fandom🚩is about empowering and encouraging people to help detect the clues and hopefully reduce and avoid further incidents.
Please enjoy responsibly.
Sincerely,
Walter 'SID' Schultz
